Explorer Application Interactive Simulation Tool Analysis Tool Data Query Application

Recommended for the public, members of the community and schools:

  • The Explorer Application opens easily from a map of the watershed allowing for the discovery of creeks, land-use and monitoring stations. It also provides geo-referenced photos, reports, and monitoring data. A detailed tutorial is provided.

Professional (scientists, designers, planners and graduate students) seeking more technical scientific information may prefer using

  • The Simulation Tool to study the behavior of the watershed in upper Newport Bay using an advanced model of pollutant concentration.


  • The Analysis Tool to analyze the behavior of the watershed in a separate window.


  • The Data Query application which downloads monitoring data and reports with direct queries to the CalSWIM databases. A detailed tutorial is provided.
